Crude and WTI are relatively flat today, and the big story in propane remains the weather. The Southeast had an unprecedented snow event, with parts of New Orleans receiving upwards of 10 inches of snow, and the Florida panhandle also seeing north of 4 inches. Just an incredible anomaly.
That’s not to say that those areas haven’t seen the type of cold they are seeing now, in the past. That’s happened before, however, this time around, in lined up with a storm that tracked right along the coast, tapping into that cold air and leaving us with one for the history books.

The core of the cold looks to pull back to more of an Upper Midwest and Northwest vector, however, widespread cold outbreaks for much of the country are definitely on the table.
