Flashpoint Energy Partners – Joe Hinckley

Joe Hinckley was born and raised in Wichita, KS. Joe’s passion for finance and accounting led him to Washburn University, where he played college baseball and earned degrees in Accounting and Economics. Shortly after graduating, he earned his CPA license and began his career at Cogent, Inc., a dominant provider of creatively engineered pumping, process and control systems. Based in Kansas City, Missouri, Joe spent two years at Cogent, where he gained valuable experience in financial management and reporting in the oil & gas, industrial, municipal, contractor, and quarry markets across the Midwest.

In 2015, Joe joined The Illig Family Enterprise Company (TIFEC), where he served as the corporate controller for five years. TIFEC is the family office for the Illig family and manages their investment portfolio in addition to supporting their operating enterprises in various sectors, including software, sports & entertainment, food & beverage, manufacturing, construction & engineering, hospitality, and specialty retail. During his time at TIFEC, Joe played a crucial role in the firm’s financial planning and analysis efforts and helped lead the company through a period of rapid growth and expansion.
In 2018, Joe founded his own accounting and consulting business, where he provided expert financial advice to clients across a wide range of industries.

In late 2020, Joe joined Flashpoint Energy Partners as the corporate controller and was promoted one year later to Chief Financial Officer. As CFO, Joe is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s finance and accounting operations, including financial planning and analysis, risk management, and investor relations.
