Flashpoint Energy Partners – Darius Lechtenberger

Darius began his professional career working in public accounting earning his CPA accreditation.  He worked in audit with Deloitte & Touche and in tax with KPMG. He entered the petroleum industry in 1994 working for Data Transmission Network’s (DTN) – DTNergy division.  At DTNergy, he was responsible for working with petroleum suppliers and petroleum wholesalers.  While at DTN, Darius helped to architect one of the petroleum industry’s first online trading systems while also leading the acquisition of Diamond Terminaling Software which launched DTNergy into the electronic warehousing of petroleum manifest documents.

Upon leaving DTN, Darius worked at Inergy Propane as the Midwest Region Risk & Marketing Director focusing on risk management services for retail propane companies and the marketing of propane produced at the Sun Refinery in Toledo, Ohio. After his time at Inergy, he saw an opportunity to provide supply and risk management consulting services to petroleum wholesalers, propane retailers and commercial end users of petroleum products and started his own consulting business in 2005 and has spent the last 14 years providing risk management and supply management services to these customers.  Darius graduated from Kansas State University with a B.S.B.A degree in Accounting and received his MBA from Creighton University.
